Mermaid Instructor training on Koh Tao

The training environment includes tranquil pools set in tropical gardens and stunning shallow beaches and bays - the perfect place to hone your skills, see incredible marine life, and prepare to introduce the next generation of PADI mermaids into the wondrous underwater world.

The course comprises a series of in-water practical training sessions and role-play exercises in addition to academic sessions. With all the encouragement and support you need from our fun, experienced, and professional team, you’ll learn to teach mermaid courses confidently while also improving your own skill demonstration techniques and personal abilities.

Upon successful completion, you’ll be certified to teach all recreational PADI Mermaid programs.

When you take your Mermaid Instructor Training on Koh Tao with Mermaid Academy, you’ll learn from some of the most experienced instructors. We’ll teach you how to conduct various PADI Mermaid programs in line with the required standards using a practical, student-centered learning approach.

Course duration: 4-5 days

Minimum age: 18 years

Prerequisites:

• Certified PADI Advanced Mermaid or proof of mermaid diving experience with 15 mermaid diving sessions, including 3 or more open water mermaid sessions.
• EFR Certification (or equivalent first aid certification) within the last 24 months .
• Current medical form signed by a physician within the previous 12 months.

We’ve put together a special package for those looking to train as a mermaid and progress directly to mermaid instructor training on Koh Tao. The package includes:

• PADI Mermaid, Advanced Mermaid & PADI Mermaid instructor course training
• PADI eLearning materials and certification cost (for PADI Mermaid & Advance Mermaid)
• FREE Mermaid Equipment rental/ use during training
• ALL pool/ boat and other facilities cost
• 1 Mermaid photo session by an experienced professional underwater photographer in the pool or sea
• PADI Mermaid Instructor material

FREE Mermaid course teaching Internship (optional)

EFR course: 4000thb (including eLearning materials and certification cost).

Hotel Accommodation: 600THB per night per room (max 2 people sharing).

Mermaid essential equipment starter kit: 11,880THB per set (includes merfin, fabric mermaid tail, and mermaid equipment carrier/backpack).

Additional mermaid photo/ video shoot: 4,500THB per person for a 2 hour session.

Supervised mermaid open water fun dives: 3000THB per trip (max 3 hours, choose from am or pm). The price includes a full set of mermaid equipment rental (15% discount for those with own full set of mermaid equipment) and a certified PADI Mermaid Instructor as safety guide.
